After a long trip traveling the US, Sam and Shauna fell in love with American BBQ and Louisiana cooking. When they returned home they started Hang Fire BBQ, a street food venture that popped up all over the UK at various events and food festivals and Hang Fire Southern Kitchen, a bustling restaurant in Barry, Wales. They have also scooped a multitude of industry awards including Observer Food Monthly’s ‘Best Restaurant’ award (2018-19) and BBC Radio 4’s Food & Farming ‘Best Street Food’ award and are the first women to have created a best-selling BBQ cookbook.
