
Maple Pad Kra Pao

Ingredients
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 heaped tsp garlic, minced
- 500g Beef mince
- 3 Thai chillies sliced or more to taste
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- Large handful fresh Thai basil
- Rice for serving
- 4 eggs
Method
- Pre-heat a wok along with a splash of oil, cook the onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add the beef mince and cook over a high heat for 5 minutes until golden.
- Once cooked stir through the pure Canadian maple syrup, oyster sauce and fish sauce then cook for a further minute.
- Finally stir through the chilli and Thai basil until wilted.
- Serve with a portion of rice and a fried egg. You can also drizzle some more maple syrup over the egg for an extra touch of Canadian sweetness
