
Maple Oatmeal Porridge

Ingredients
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 apples or pears, cubed
- 1L water
- Pinch of salt
- 500ml quick oats
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- 125ml milk
- 250ml pure maple syrup
- 125ml pecans, crushed
Method
- In a bowl, pour the lemon juice over the fruit and leave to stand.
- Mix the water, salt, oatmeal, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, for approximately 5 minutes.
- Pour the hot oatmeal into bowls, divide the milk and maple syrup and then garnish with the fruit and nuts.
