Maple Ginger Shots

4 portions



  • Muslin cloth
  • Clean glass bottle


  • 4 tbsp pure maple syrup (preferably amber syrup for its rich taste)
  • 40g fresh ginger, unpeeled
  • 400ml guava juice
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • Pinch of ground turmeric


  1. Chop the ginger into small pieces and add to a blender with the maple syrup, guava juice, ground turmeric and lime juice.
  2. Blitz the ingredients together for one minute until combined.
  3. Tip the mix into a muslin cloth and thoroughly squeeze the liquid into a clean glass bottle.
  4. Store in the fridge and consume within 5 days. Before consuming, make sure to give it a good shake each time.
