British summer fruit trifle with maple syrup

Summer recipes tend to be light, salad orientated mains and cold desserts which are perfect for dealing with the summer heat. We’ve added our favourite ingredient, maple syrup, to some seasonal dishes to give your summer menus a delicious twist.

Maple Mains and Vegetarian Recipes

Everyone loves a burrito but our maple beef burrito adds a sweet kick to the recipes you know and love. It even has the added bonus of reducing your washing-up load because the bowl is edible – what’s not to love?!

The perfect dish for entertaining, simply slice and dice some vegetables and allow your friends to create their own burrito bowls – kids will love it too.

Indulge in some vegetarian goodness by whipping up our halloumi kebabs with a sweet pepper and maple relish. These are simple to prepare and a great addition to a barbecue, especially with our broad bean hummus.

Summer Sides and Desserts

Try our spicy cauliflower and chickpea salad with a maple coconut sauce. This quick, flavourful recipe is a great help-yourself dish and makes the perfect party or summer BBQ accompaniment. The Indian spice flavours compliment the fresh cauliflower and chickpeas perfectly and will satisfy meat eaters, veggies and vegans alike.

Desserts are our speciality. With simple ingredients and quick to bake and assemble – our Raspberry mille feuille with maple custard ticks all the boxes and looks and tastes amazing. You can even prepare the maple custard the day before to save time.

Would we dare leave out a traditionally British summer fruit trifle?! This one is packed with delicious summer berries and fresh cream, it makes a great party centrepiece and serves 8-10 people, there might even be some left over for seconds!

If you fancy a guilt-free sweet treat, our frozen strawberry, maple and yoghurt bark recipe hits the spot. It’s easy to prepare, full of natural sweetness and are deliciously creamy. Make these in batches as a great grab-and-go treat.
